Hello, I am Samantha Townsend, award-winning Cosmetic Formulator and pioneer in the field of organic palm oil-free skincare. Thank you so much for visiting our website.

Sugar House Organics launched in 2023 using my knowledge and expertise to address the gap in the market for high-end cosmeceutical skincare that is also ethical and palm oil-free.

As a pioneer in organic & palm oil-free during my career in cosmetic formulation, I was the first to develop an organic palm oil-free self-tan.  I was also the first formulator to use Australian pink salt as an ethical alternative to Himalayan salt.

So how did I get here?  Well I was working in a corporate career that I wasn’t passionate about and my obsession with skincare led me to take the plunge and leave the corporate world behind to work on my own skincare line. I completed a Cosmetic Chemistry course to learn the technical aspects of developing a new product and in late 2017, and after a lot of trial and error, I developed our award-winning Self-Tan Lotion.

Over time, I decided to expand our range and develop skincare and body care products with the same high standards that I had applied to our tanning products: luxurious, vegan, organic, palm oil-free, not tested on animals and containing Australian botanical ingredients.

Following on from this success, I launched Sugar House Organics as a more high-end brand, focused on using cosmeceutical ingredients for more effective results, without compromising our values.

Our journey to get to this point has had its challenges, but our passion for creating skincare that’s as good for the environment as it is for our skin has kept us going. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come and I hope you love our products as much as we do.
